Welcome to Urban Reflexology
Reflexology is a delightfully soothing complementary health care modality in which the body, mind and spirit are nurtured.  Some compare it to massage but that's not really accurate.   Although much like massage; reflexology is very relaxing.  Reflexology works with the natural healing properties of the body to promote internal balance.  It's based on the principal that a microcosm (mini-map) of the body is reflected in the feet, hands and ears.   A Reflexologist uses techniques to stimulate the reflexes which enable the body to rebalance itself through mechanisms such as the nervous system, fascial pathways, improved circulation and energy flow.

Most everyone is a candidate for reflexology - even those who aren't candidates for conventional massage therapy due to physical limitations or who may be uncomfortable about removing all of their clothes.  With reflexology, you only need to remove your shoes and socks.  At Urban Reflexology the feet are viewed as both a microcosm of the body and as, well, just a foot.   Foot pain is one of the most common complaints in our fashion-conscious society where we jam  our feet into mass-produced shoes of various sizes and shapes which don't necessarily mirror the size and shape of our feet.   Foot pain motivates a lot of people to seek out reflexology and they continue long after it's gone.  Receiving reflexology on a regular basis allows you to feel the benefits more fully and you'll find the sense of balance it brings reflected in your life.

Some common conditions that respond well to reflexology include:  Stress, anxiety, depression, sleep difficulty, high blood pressure, headaches and digestive conditions.  But don't think you have to be ill to receive any benefit from reflexology, it's a great way to relax, feel balanced and unstressed.

Big things can happen in small places and Urban Reflexology's office is a reflection of that.  It provides a sanctuary for the weary.

Urban Reflexology opened it's first office in Seattle, Washington in early 2009.
This year, 2020, has posed some unparalleled challenges which have affected us all therefore Urban Reflexology will remain on hiatus until COVID19 is under control and we are all able to breathe freely once again.  In the meantime; be safe and stay sane.
