Big things can happen in small places and my office is a reflection of that. It provides a sanctuary for the weary. I say that reflexology makes you feel like life has a pause button. Time is relative. An hour of reflexology can change your perspective - it can seem like a minute but have long lasting effects on your well-being. Receiving reflexology on a regular basis allows you to feel the benefits more fully and you'll find the sense of balance it brings reflected in your life.
Payment is due at the time of service. Reflexology, while not a benefit covered by health insurance, might be covered by your Health Savings Account - check with your employer or health insurance plan administrator to see if this is an option that applies for you. Reflexology is recognized as a Complementary and Alternative Medicine by the National Institute of Health under the umbrella of manipulative and body-based therapies.
Appointment Times: Please arrive on-time for your appointment. This time was set aside for you and if you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to remain on-time for the appointments following yours.
Before Your First Session: You will be asked to complete a brief intake form. This helps identify specific areas of your body where you feel tension or have issues you'd like to address during your session.
During Your Session: My office is set up so that you can completely unwind. Although you only need to remove your shoes and socks for reflexology you will be covered by a sheet and/or blanket so that you are warm and relaxed. You will be lying on a massage table on top of an amethyst biomat which is said to release stress by relaxing your muscles using soothing Far Infrared Ray heat. Reflexology with the biomat is awesome and promotes a feeling of well-being for a healthier mind and body.
Your session is completely adaptable to you. During your session your job is to breathe deeply, relax into the table and let your stress go. If talking helps you relax; then feel free. Many clients report a sense of profound relaxation both during and after.
After Your Session: After your reflexology session, remember to continue taking care of yourself. Some say that eating lightly and drinking more fluids help them enormously post session.
No Show Policy: There are times when you wake up sick, your car breaks down or you just forget what day it is. It happens to all of us at one time or another. So, if that happens to you and you miss your appointment, it's okay. Once. Just call and let me know as soon as you can. And don't do it again. That's fair, isn't it?
Cancellation Policy: 24 hour notice is appreciated... especially for morning appointments.
